
Description
The initiative is structured as a workshop, so most of the time will be dedicated to the design activity for the proposal of hospital 4.0, to which will be added lectures by experts in the field in order to offer to the participants various national and international ideas on how to rethink the hospital of the future.
Educational project
Workshop within the postgraduate Master “Planning, Programming and Design of Hospital and Healthcare facilities” promoted by Politecnico di Milano, Università degli Studi di Milano and Università del Sacro Cuore in Rome, and the activities of the Design & Health Lab (DABC) of Politecnico di Milano, whose director and coordinator is Prof. Stefano Capolongo. The Workshop aims to be an important opportunity in which different professionals (designers, healthcare personnel, etc.) and students discuss and work together on the topic of inpatient room of the future. Only through a multidisciplinary approach that merges together professionals with different backgrounds, it is possible to suggest innovative solutions for healthcare environments.
Requirements
The Workshop is open to designers and healthcare staff but also to PhD students, Residents in Hygiene and Preventive Medicine and students of different study paths interested in rethinking and investigating the trends of Hospital 4.0. There are no specific requirements but the interest in investigating a complex topic, such as healthcare design, sharing knowledge and ideas with professionals with different backgrounds.
