Mobility Survey 2024

The yearly survey to verify mobility habits and propensity to change of Politecnico community

Publish date

The Politecnico di Milano, through its Mobility manager and the ICT Services Area, is launching the 2024 edition of the survey to verify the mobility habits and propensity to change of the Politecnico population, with particular reference to the home-university commuting.

The survey, in particular, has three purposes:

  • it represents the basis for the drafting of the "Home-work/home-university commuting plan", a document aimed at defining the interventions needed to promote more sustainable forms of mobility
  • it is an essential tool for collecting data to support the University's carbon management policies as it allows the quantification of CO2 emissions related to the transport sector;
  • it is relevant for orienting the sustainable mobility projects of the University, the City and the Region.

Making mobility more sustainable is moreover one of the objectives that the University intends to pursue, as defined in the “Strategic sustainability plan 2023-2025”, in order to improve both the quality, liveability and accessibility of spaces inside and outside the campuses, as well as the safety of travel, with actions aimed at promoting active mobility as well, with the overall aim of reducing the total emissions due to campus access.

The contribution of everyone - students, researchers, teaching staff, technical-administrative staff - is therefore essential to enable the University to identify the priority actions to be implemented to promote more sustainable mobility.

The questionnaire will be available until 7 October 2024 on the Online Services portal, by accessing the "Data" section and selecting "Fill in questionnaires" or via this link.
