Equipment
The Wood Lab is equipped with woodworking machinery, which is operated exclusively by the staff. The services available are:
- assistance in the construction of honeycomb bases: cutting wooden strips with a miter saw for the construction of frames. Pressing the base and trimming the edges with a squaring circular saw;
- reducing the thickness of solid wood boards: cutting of wooden boards with a band saw and/or planing and sanding with a calibrating machine;
- special operations on solid wood pieces: cutting pieces thicker than 4 cm with a band saw and finishing with a belt sander or disc sander.
