Our laboratory offers you advice and tutoring in designing and making architectural models.
To create the presentation models for your exams and your thesis, request an appointment: one of our tutors will support you in choosing the scale, materials and techniques most appropriate to your needs, in order to best communicate your project.
The experience in the laboratory will allow you to acquire manual and construction skills that will help you in your university career.

1. Fill out the access form and send it to labora@polimi.it
2. Wait for confirmation of your appointment with one of our tutors
At the appointment, bring with you the project drawings printed at the scale of representation of the model you want to create and with all the material useful for explaining your ideas, such as images and renderings.
3. When you're ready to get started, read the classroom rules and request a workstation from the staff
The workstations are assigned giving priority to graduating students of the first scheduled session. If the workstations are all occupied at the time of the request, you will be added to a waiting list.

Labora offers advice and tutoring to students enrolled in Bachelor's and Master's degree programs in Architecture.
The workstations are reserved for students who use our consulting and tutoring service.
If you only need a workstation for the day to build your model, ask the staff if there are any free, unassigned workstations. You can also access the Small Wood Lab and the Painting Lab. You can find all the necessary information on the dedicated pages.
At the end of the day, you must clear your workstation and remove all the materials and waste. It is not possible to leave your model here in the lab.
Access to the CNC Lab is reserved for students who use our consulting and tutoring services.
If you do not need tutoring, but only laser cutting or 3D printing, you can contact Poliprint.
In the Painting Lab, you will find a booth with a work surface and aspiration system, which you can access freely after attending training on how to use the space safely. You can find more information here.
The Lab does not have a designated area for storing models. If you are using the tutoring service, you may leave your model at your assigned workstation for the period agreed upon with your tutor.
At the end of the workstation assignment period, we kindly ask you to clean your workstation and collect your model. It is not possible to occupy the table and leave your model here beyond the due date.
