Equipment
Inside the Small Wood Lab you can find small carpentry machines and equipment for cutting expanded plastic materials:
- electric scroll saws for cutting wood and rigid plastic;
- belt and disc sanders for sanding wood and rigid plastic;
- hot wire machines for cutting expanded plastic materials;
- drill presses for drilling wood.
How to access
In this space you can work independently after self-training and brief training by the staff on the safe use of the machines.
For self-training, read the documents in the section Guides and instructions.
Training takes place from Monday to Friday at 10 am in Italian and at 10.30 pm in English. For groups larger than 6 people, reservations are required at labora@polimi.it.
If you have any doubts about the use of the machines and the materials to be processed, contact the staff.
